Breaking your Phone Addiction
Much as Smart phone can be your friend, it can also be your worst enemy.
2022 Statistics have shown that there are 5.22 Billion Smart Phone users in the world which accounts for 66.6% of the Global population.
75.4% users are addicted to their phones.
Smartphone users unconsciously unlock heir phones at least 150 times a day!
Millennial spend average of 2 or more hours on social media and games
Adults spend not less than 45minutes on social media
Even though use of smartphones have become the norm to do larger portion of business, the side effects of addiction will greatly impact on your mental health and physical well being.
Addiction causes sleep deprivation, increase stress levels, suicide and accidents among others.
Phone usage is a habit but we can break the addiction in these ways:
- Set clear intention for your phone usage, drop it when you are done
- Use digital detox apps to monitor your usage
- Turn off the notification of non work related apps to enable you concentrate at work
- Stop charging your phone near your bed[ got you right!]
- Get an alarm clock instead of phone alarm
- Try going to nearby places without your phone
- Do a phone free day once in a week until the addiction is curbed.
