How to Practice Self Care

Most of the time when we talk about self care, the focus has always been on our looks and staying healthy, self care is much more than it. We do not only need to visit the spa or gym to self care. We also need to add the following to our routine.

  • Learning to please yourself. You may in the process disappoint a number of people, their opinion does not matter, if you die they will forget you. So don’t kill yourself to please people
  • Learn to set clear Boundaries: There are so many abusers in all facets of life, protect yourself and your mental health
  • Improve your mental diet: what doo you consume? I don’t mean food, I mean what do you read, who do you hang out with? Start removing junk in your life.
  • Upgrade Your Library: we spent average of 1 to 2 hours on social media: Who do you follow? Start following real people who educate, inform, motivate, inspire you. People with real life stories that will help you. Life is not just about twerking. Yes, I mean it!
  • Let the past be, look forward. You are capable of hurting yourself when you remember the past. Let the past remain in the past.
  • Start swapping: Swap nagging with gratitude, overthinking with action, Long hours on Netflix and Zeeworld with sleep, Toxic people with mentors and influencers, dreams with action. Need I say more?
