- When you are overwhelmed and don’t even know where to start.
- When you keep delaying tasks or procrastinating
- When you bring your unfinished tasks home for the weekend
- When you can’t sleep as a result of worries
- When mistakes start creeping in
- When your mind wanders and you stare into space at work
- When you become unnecessarily aggressive, defensive and angry.
When these creep in, just
- Exhale, relax, tell yourself it is temporarily
- Take a break to take care of yourself
- De clutter: take a look at tasks consuming your time and energy, your wardrobe, office, clear them out. All of them1
- Identify your top priorities: you may write out the list in their order of importance
- Start small, even if its for 10 minutes, make a progress. The more you do, the more your zeal and creativity comes back to you.
- Learn to say know when added tasks threatens your existing plan or tasks.
- Celebrate your little wins everyday
- Evaluate and appraise yourself
- Ask for help when in need
- Learn to delegate where applicable
Don’t forget, nothing is more important than you being happy, excited and bursting forth with creativity.
