Have you Ever Been ‘Quiet Fired’ At Work?

Quiet firing is when your employer treats you badly to the point of resignation instead of being fired.

There are many ways Employers Quiet fire their staffs

  • When your employer does not respect you
  • When your job description or Title changes without your input and to your detriment
  • When your employer does not feel you have done anything spectacular even with ground breaking and Noticeable achievement
  • When you are suddenly and deliberately being exempted from meetings you used to attend.
  • When your Boss avoids you and will rather send you a mail instead of talking to you
  • When your efforts is not commended through improved remuneration or promotion.
  • When there is opportunity for your growth in the business but your employer feels otherwise especially when you have worked in acting capacity
  • When you are saddled with unrealistic tasks without corresponding support and tools.
  • When you are positioned for failure
  • When your employer proves in more ways than one that you are not needed.

Quiet firing is more prominent in the private sector especially, businesses with sole ownership, leaving you with no option than to resign.

The Employer will not give you room for conversation to express your concern neither will your Human Resources help you.
