Ever since I set my eyes on this photograph… it struck a chord deep down there and I just didn’t know what to make of it or process it in my head. It’s been hanging there for 4 days now and I might as well just come out with it and have peace in my spirit.
Truth is , the economic situation has made it difficult for many to sustain themselves and the poor are getting poorer and desperate.
I have been to some schools in Abuja here and I hear the schools gleefully reel out the fact that many students are going for summer abroad. Some Spain,some UK ,US etc. Good! Great!
They did that because their parents can afford to send them.
I see pictures of many Children graduating home and abroad and I pray that God will make the parents reap the fruits of their labour.
I also see pictures of many Children who may never be opportune to go to school simply because they cannot afford education. I had discussion with some friends and I was told not all children are destined to go to school. What manner of Destiny is this? Ok fine! What about acquiring skills that will put food on their table?
Remember all these kids who have been denied the opportunity to education or skill will definitely be a menace to those children who graduated from Havard and the rest of them. Yes that is the truth. What can you do today? How will you help? Sponsor a child’s education or skill acquisition to save our own children and the society. The ball is in your court! Blessed day people.
